An examination of the condition of an entire collection, based on the type of object, can provide you with the means to manage and preserve your collection, especially if the records are stored in a digital format. When maintained systematically, condition reports document any changes over time. These changes may result from: natural aging of sensitive materials, accidental damage, vandalism, deterioration, inappropriate exhibition or storage conditions, improper handling or inappropriate packaging for travel, as well as any alteration of the work due to restoration treatment.
Conservation membership is specially designed for (art) collections of companies, organizations, governments and private collectors. The main purpose of the membership is to relieve you of worries within your collection management. When you become a member, we ensure that your collection remains in good condition. Our wide range of services (hanging artworks, restoration, transport, etc.) ensures that you only need one address to take care of all matters concerning your collection.
How does Conservation membership work?
When you sign up as a member, a conservation specialist will visit you for a quick scan of your collection. By means of our collection management application a condition report including photos and damage image will be made of each object. The condition report provides a clear overview of the condition of your collection that you can rely on in the future. A proposal for the annual maintenance of each object is then made. Depending on the membership, you will receive a discount if you let us carry out this maintenance.
We offer Conservation membership at different levels depending on your budget and requirements. Prices are based on a collection of up to 50 works of art. If you own more works the prices will be adjusted accordingly.
